Resistant Starch Shake Recipes and Tips

Resistant starch shakes made from Eirolean only come in one flavor-vanilla-but that’s okay. It makes it a lot easier to be creative if you can add fruits and flavorings to your shakes. That’s a lot easier to do if you’re adding to vanilla rather than other flavors. I use a hand blender instead of a regular blender because it makes it so much easier to clean up. Okay, so here’s a few simple and quick recipes you can try.

Strawberry Smoothie: Add a cup of fresh strawberries and ice cubes to vanilla shake.
Almond Smoothie: Add a 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract to vanilla shake. You can add this to the Strawberry Smoothie to make it a Strawberry Almond smoothie.
Chocolate Smoothie: Adding 2 teaspoons of cocoa to the shake only adds 10 calories.
Mocha Smoothie: Add 1 teaspoon instant coffee to Chocolate Smoothie.
Blueberry Smoothie: Add a cup of frozen or fresh blueberries. No ice cubes needed if you use frozen blueberries.
Strawberry Banana Smoothie: Add a 1/2 cup banana and 1/2 cup strawberries with ice cubes to vanilla shake.
Peanut Butter Smoothie: use Reduced-fat Peanut Butter or peanut butter extract to avoid adding a significant amount of calories to your shake with regular peanut butter. Very satisfying flavor.

You can probably see the idea here. Simply choose your favorite fruit or combination of fruits to add to the shake mix and voila! You have an instant smoothie. Adding ice cubes, even if the milk is already cold, makes your shake a lot thicker. Also, you should definitely use Organic Fat Free milk in your shake because it tastes like whole milk, not water-y like conventional fat free milk tastes.
